About Me
I am Zakiya Dharsi, founder and instructor at Dharsi Wellness.
Before founding Dharsi Wellness, I juggled my job in the corporate world and my responsibilities as a single parent. I discovered yoga while searching for better work and life balance.
Yoga combined with breath-work supported my ability to balance my central nervous system, and enhance my mental and physical well-being.

I began to intentionally change my lifestyle and have been teaching yoga for a number of years with qualifications in Yin, vinyasa and trauma informed yoga with further education in neuroscience for yoga teachers.
I am a true believer that once we integrate our minds and bodies through mindfulness and yoga we can thrive in all areas of our lives.

Our Yoga Approach

At Dharsi Wellness we create a safe space and a yoga practice that reconnects our clients with themselves.
The purpose of each class is to desensitise the nervous system and work towards bringing you into the present moment, building strength, self awareness, resiliency and compassion.
Through a dynamic combination of Vinyasa, Yin and breath-work, Zakiya will teach you to
connect your breath with your body and rediscover your place of balance both personally and professionally. Each class is tailored to the individual or/and organisations needs and requirements, in support of diversity and inclusivity no matter your background.
